I am finally blogging!!!!

It just take matter of seconds to setup and start blogging but took me about 3 month since I started the process of joining to this fantastic and exiting community. I started reading a free book that I downloaded by Brad McGehee, How to become an exceptional DBA(Developer) where he recommended to join to SQLPASS (which I did almost immediately), also to the SQL groups, and blogging among other very useful recommendations. Then I attend to my first SQL Saturday in Tampa on January 23rd 2010. A common factor I found on all speakers was that they were recommending us to have our blog. Then the more I got involved in webinars and today's Code Camp in Miramar Florida guest what? All of the speakers were encouraging us to blog. So finally I am starting to do so and first thing I want to mention is that there is no way to thank to all those speakers for their voluntary time and knowledge they are sharing with us. Some of them are: Brian Knight, Jared Nielsen, Jorge Segarra, David Taylor, Plamen Ratchev, Jack Corbett, Brad McGehee, Andy Warren, Jeff Garbus; just to mention few of them. I am really energized and refreshed by attending to the meetings and webinars and found them very useful from my professional standpoint.

Today as I mentioned above I attended to de Code Camp organized by the Florida DotNet Group (http://www.fladotnet.net/) and it was really a great long day that I had the opportunity to share with my son Simon at the Code Camp. He told me couple days ago that he wanted to be a programmer because he was doing a school project for his IT class and created a program with Visual Studio 2005. Then this is why I decided to took him to today’s event. Also at the event I had the opportunity to pass it on. I was recommending PASS, sqlservercentral.com, etc. to people that I met during the event.
